\u201cGood\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is a successful, welcoming and happy place for children to learn.\u00a0\u00a0 The school is fully subscribed and most of the attending children come from out of the area.\u00a0\u00a0 In the 1980s, however, it had been threatened with closure, as it had only 29 pupils.<\/p><p>St. Lawrence School is Federated with Tibberton &#8211; another village school.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-ae855c1 elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"ae855c1\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Originally, there was a small school in the corner of the churchyard, adjacent to Hariley House, which can be seen on an 1881 map of the village.<\/p>\n<p>The present school was built on land donated by the Trust Homes Estate in around 1898.&nbsp;&nbsp; Various extensions have been carried out over the years, in addition to two demountable classrooms.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-50 elementor-top-column shed.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It shows that next to the school, Sharona Cottage was originally two cottages, finished in brick, not rendered, and each with their own front door.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The pond behind the school appears to have belonged to Preston Hall and was filled in later.\u00a0\u00a0 Subsequently, High Trees bungalow was built close to
